Message from the Secretary of the Florida DCA
The Department of Community Affairs 2010 Growth Management Implementation Workshop will cover a wide range of planning issues. There will be legal, legislative, and rulemaking updates, and a discussion of SB 360 and HB 697 implementation status and issues. We will present a "how to" session on navigating the DCA plan amendment review process using a real, large-scale map amendment case study. Looking to the future, there will be a presentation on the potential land use planning and community development implications of high speed and commuter rail in Florida. We have also set aside scheduled but unstructured time with the Department's Regional Program Administrators (RPA). You will have the opportunity to meet with your RPA to discuss issues of local and regional concern. We look forward to seeing you in Orlando.
